Community Guidelines

What's welcome

• Rants, memes, confessions, hot takes, hostel/campus stories, city diaries, fandom talk.
• Questions about student life — as long as they're not doxxing or targeting a person.
• Constructive disagreement. Argue the take, not the person.

What gets removed

• Illegal content — CSAM, threats of violence, doxxing, incitement to violence, promotion of self-harm.
• Sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance, reported to law enforcement.
• Harassment — targeted abuse, slurs, coordinated pile-ons, revealing someone's real identity without consent.
• Hate speech — attacks based on caste, religion, region, gender, sexuality, disability.
• Spam & manipulation — vote manipulation, bots, mass DMs, affiliate spam, ban evasion.
• Explicit content without an NSFW tag — sexual, gore or graphic content must be tagged; anything involving minors is banned outright.
• Impersonation — pretending to be another user, a mod, or a real person/brand.
• Sharing private info — phone numbers, addresses, ID cards, private chats without consent.

NSFW rules

• Tag NSFW content honestly. Our classifier auto-flags posts too, and mods can override.
• NSFW content is hidden from signed-out users and from anyone who hasn't turned on NSFW in Profile.
• Sexual content involving anyone who is or appears to be under 18 is never allowed and gets reported.

How moderation works

• Every sub has community moderators who can hide posts, remove content and ban users from their sub.
• Platform-wide violations (illegal content, coordinated abuse) can lead to a site-wide ban by LastBench staff.
• We use automated NSFW detection and community reports; mods make the final call.

Reporting & appeals

• Tap Report on any post or answer to flag it. Add a short reason — it helps mods act faster.
• If your post was hidden or flagged NSFW and you disagree, tap Appeal on the post. A mod will review.
• Serious complaints, or anything involving your personal data, can be escalated to our Grievance Officer, who responds within DPDP-mandated timelines.

Becoming a mod

Any sub creator is a mod by default. Existing mods can invite others; users can also apply through a sub's Mod page. Mods agree to enforce these guidelines fairly and lose mod status if they don't.

Consequences

• First offence: content removal + warning.
• Repeated or serious offences: temporary ban from a sub or from LastBench.
• Illegal content: permanent ban and reporting to law enforcement.
